The Founding Story

In 2023, Brian Roundtree's parents lost over $30,000 to a scammer who impersonated their grandson — a call they answered because it looked exactly like family calling for help. That's the call aiShield was built to catch.

Brian and co-founder Kevin Allan built aiShield's detection engine around a simple premise: the phone call is where trust gets exploited, and it's also the one channel most security stacks don't touch.

Before aiShield, Brian co-founded autoGraph and built SNAPin Software, telecom software later acquired by Nuance (subsequently part of Microsoft) — a career spent building technology that runs quietly in the background of other people's businesses.

aiShield's detection engine is the foundation behind Honey Mobile, aiShield's own direct-to-consumer product — proof that the underlying technology works in production, for real subscribers, before a partner ever deploys it. The same engine is now available directly to telecom providers, senior living and assisted living operators, and 55+ communities.
